Texas Gives

The Ronald McDonald House and the San Jacinto Museum of History Association are the two charities that the Texas Independence Relay is highlighting and supporting this year.

Imagine if your child were in a perilous battle with a severe illness or injury. You would want to provide all the medical assistance you could for your child, and, of course, you would want to be right there with them. However, with every available resource stretched as far as possible, you find yourself in the predicament of perhaps not being able to be with your child during this essential time. It’s painful to contemplate, but, unfortunately, this is an all-too-real circumstance for many households. Quite possibly, you or friends of yours have endured this experience. If that’s the case, then you know how meaningful someone’s lending hand can be. As you reach out, let the Ronald McDonald house guide your hand so that your assistance yields maximum effect.

As Texans, we’ve earned the reputation for being proud of our great state. With a heritage like ours, who could blame us?! The goal of the San Jacinto Museum of History Association is to honor everyone who courageously realized Texas’ Independence, preserve our history, and perpetuate that spirit. They maintain the impressive historical landmark as well as the grounds where the battle took place that the monument overlooks. Whether native or adopted, you share in and have a inextricable place in Texas’ exceptional story.
