You will absolutely not want to miss the 2012 TIR Pre-Party, which will be held in Bastrop at its brand new convention center! Music, dancing, and just a whole bunch of premature celebration if you ask us! (smile) Seriously, though, it will be an excellent time, so plan to make the party a part of your TIR weekend schedule.
Since you’ll be at the party, you’ll need to make plans for your team to stay somewhere in Bastrop on Friday night, March 30 – Bastrop has a ton of rooms available! For upscale accommodations, it would be hard to beat the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa anywhere!

Of course, in the middle of the night on Saturday, you probably won’t be getting much sleep! So, it is wholeheartedly recommended that you bring a blanket and pillow and then take Wallis Brazos High School up on their $5 offer to catch a few winks (and maybe a shower) at their high school (just beyond exchange 23 in downtown Wallis). This is the easiest and best! However, if hotel reservations on Saturday night is imperative, look for places in Sealy, Brookshire, and perhaps even the west side of Katy.
Finally, the last few years, the TIR has had deal with the Crowne Plaza in downtown Houston for Sunday and Monday nights. This arrangement has not yet made for 2012, but will likely be made soon.
